Fire Department

The City assumed responsibility for fire protection and paramedic services on July 1, 1999. Fire protection and paramedic services have been provided to the City through a contractual agreement with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF). The City and the County Fire Department developed an agreement to provide similar services to Oak Glen and the unincorporated regions along the eastern boundaries of the City. The agreement with CDF was renewed in July 2000 for a five-year period. The agreement with County Fire is continuous until cancelled by either party. The administration of fire and paramedic services for Oak Glen is included in the agreement between the City and CDF.
