City Manager's Message . . .

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the City of Yucaipa’s new web site. We hope you will find that information in all areas is more easily accessible from the home page and that the redesign is more visibly appealing. With City Council’s direction, staff has been working toward providing the community with access to a number of new services through the City’s web site. We are excited to “roll out” CityView, the City’s new permit software web portal, where permit applications are accessible for Planning, Building and Safety, and Public Works. In addition, Code Enforcement complaints and Street and Park Maintenance work orders will be processed utilizing the CityView software. Applications for the City’s energy efficiency and alternative generation financing program are also available online.

There is a new City Manager’s blog, which will include weekly responses to questions from the public. The City is also making available elements of our recently completed Geographic Information System through a public web portal. More information will become available to the public over time as the system is expanded, but parcel information, General Plan and zoning information, related street improvement information, and drainage information will be available from the onset.

Business support and Economic Development information is also being made available through the web site for the first time, including links to other related web sites. The City is committed to doing what we can to help small businesses through these difficult economic times.

A planning guide is being made available on the web site as well (or it can be picked up in hard copy at City Hall) to help our customers that may not be as familiar with City Hall processes be more comfortable working with staff in the different areas.

Finally, I hope you will take a minute to look at the City’s new park and trail maps and related information. The City really is developing a world-class parks, open space, and trails system for you to enjoy in addition to the Wildwood State Park and the San Bernardino County Regional Park located in the community.

The redesigned website is best viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 7 and higher, Firefox versions 3.5.3 and higher, Google Chrome versions 3.0 and higher or Apple Safari versions 3.2 and higher.

We hope that you enjoy exploring the new website. Your feedback and suggestions are appreciated. Please send comments to webmaster@yucaipa.org.
